During my road trip to New Jersey in August I decided to listen to an audio book for the long drive. The Silent Patient, was my choice, not because I wanted to read it, or even that I heard of the author. The simple reason was that this was the first book that would download when I was trying to get something to listen to.
I’m trying to remember what my first selection was, but I tried several options and nothing was working. So while I was just playing with the app, I selected this one as a test to see if it would even download. Low and behold it did. So this became the book for my road trip.
Surprising, I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. I’m tying to articulate the exact reason I liked it, but the concept or twist I think was simple or something not expected which gives the book its charm.
