Last year 2017 you were able to redeem your Fandango Rewards from the Jewel-Osco Monopoly game for Visa Gift Cards. This year that option was NOT available?
You were however able to cash in your points for $5 Fandango Fan Shop. The catch there is that you are only allowed to use one $5 promo code with each item ordered. You are not allowed to combine them.
I was able to confirm this with a support ticket I created when I tried to redeem multiple $5 promo codes. I was trying to use up all the ones I claimed to essentially get a free item. But this didn’t work.
I was not about to purchase something I didn’t need, but If I could have used multiple $5 promo codes to get the item free, I would have done that.
Here is how many tokens I had prior to claiming my Fandango Fan Shop $5 promo codes.
The game allowed you to redeem 30 tokens for a $5 Fandango Fan Shop reward. After redeeming 5 of these, and one Universal Fandango Fan shop tokens I was left with the following.
The idea was to use all the $5 Fandango Fan Shop promo codes at checkout and hopefully get a free item. But alas that did not happen.
So just incase all you were wondering what happened to all those tokens. They were essentially left on the table and expired.
In conclusion, although the 2018 Monopoly game claimed to have increase the prices from $200 Million in 2017 to $250 Million in 2018. They also limited how those prizes are awarded out.
So we’ll have to see how next year pans out.
