What I’m Reading

I OFTEN listen to books in my car during my commute to and from my day job.

I recently borrowed Jessica Alexander and Ibsen Sandahl’s book “The Danish Way of Parenting: What the Happiest People in the World Know About Raising Confident, Capable Kids

I knew parenting was going to be a challenge. There are so many advise books and people’s input to raising your children.

At a lot of what is talked about in the book does not apply to every parent or every situation. I think this is why there are no “instructions” that get handed to you when you leave the hospital with your new-born.

Raising my son is fun and challenging, I though it would be interesting to get others perspective on raising children, so borrowed it from my local library. Listening to audio books is SO much more interesting than listening to the news or radio.

I took a few tips away from this book that I think will be useful in raising my own son. So it was definitely worth listening too.

For most audio-books I listen to them multiple times. There are inevitably times during heavy traffic or other noises and distractions were I miss pieces. Listing to it multiple times ensures I get the missing pieces and also enforces what I’m listening too.

I don’t always like buying books. If I can get it from the library that is always my first option.

I created this article to remind myself that I listened to this book in January/February (2018).

Did you read it? What did you think?
