What I’m Reading – Neither Snow Nor Rain by Devin Leonard

I’M DELIGHTED to add another autographed book to my personal library. Most of you know I’m heavy into post office history especially the murals.

I’m trying to remember when I was fist made aware of Devin’s book “Neither Snow nor Rain: A History of the United States Postal Service,” I think I remember hearing something about it about a year or so ago. Turns out this is a book he published in 2016. I’m just getting around to reading it now. I spend the last few days reading and absorbing the material.

Since I’ve been home with the kid, I’ve had time to leisurely read this book. Had I received this book while I was working full-time, I would have rushed through it. In addition I also reached to to Mr. Leonard to have my copy autographed. Thanks Mr. Leonard.

I found this book a great read. Of course my particular interest was half way into chapter 6 where he speaks of the murals and sculptures that were installed in the lobbies of post offices built during the Depression of the 1930s.
