What I’m Reading – Cracking The Code To A Successful Interview – Evan Pellett

Cracking the Code Book Cover

JUST TO BE clear, I’m not actually looking for a job. However, when I was looking for audio books I ran across this one. It was available so I though I’d check it out.

I may have mentioned this before, but I turned off my listening to the news in the car. Listening to the same music over and over again, also becomes boring.

Since I have a decent commute to the day job I need to fill up this driving time, so I listen to audio books. It’s a great time to listen to books and now that I have an actual bluetooth speaker for may car, its much more enjoyable.

So now that I have a new speaker, I wanted to try it out on a new book. Turns out Evan Pellet’s book Cracking the Code to a Successful Interview: 15 Insider Secrets from a Top-Level Recruiter was available so I borrowed it and listened to it during my commute.

I always like to learn new things so listening to this book while NOT actually having to perform or interview is much more of an enjoyable experience.

If I was actually interviewing, I think this book would resonate more, but for now its great to know there are some excellent tips. Maybe when my own business grows to the point where I need to hire people I can refer back to this article.

Personal Finances

I don’t always like buying books. If I can get it from the library that is always my first option.

This also helps the personal finances by keeping more cash in my pocket.

As the saying goes, it’s not how much you make, it’s how much you keep in your pocket that makes all the difference.

I created this article to remind myself that I read/listened to it in November of (2017).

Did you read it? What did you think?
