For those of you just joining me. I’ve decided to run a little experiment and keep track of my Jewel-Osco Saturday Morning Sampler Free items.
Interested in seeing how much I saved the last month? Head over and read my July Saturday Morning Sampler Report. I’m still working on the August Sampler report and should have it done this weekend. Since Monday is Labor day, I should have some extra time to work on it.
Yeah, I do weird things like this, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Lesson learned from today
I get up early on Saturday morning and walk to my local Jewel. Before I start walking I log onto the Jewel-Osco app and clip the free coupons for the day.
Wonderful cool morning here in the Chicago-land area.
I know there are a lot of people who won’t go walking around the store to find one free item. But that is why you should follow me. I’ll do searching and hunting for you.
- Zico Coconut Water is in the Produce department.
- Madrinas Coffee is in the water/bottled coffee aisle.
Today was another one of those day when an item would not ring up correctly. For some reason the Zico water would not calculate as free. The cashiers have a code they use to zero out the item, but this does not calculate correctly for the “Today’s Total Savings” section of the receipt. Just thought I’d mention that.
