Lesson learned from today
I get up early on Saturday morning and walk to my local Jewel. Before I start walking I log onto the Jewel-Osco app and clip the free coupons for the day.
Wonderful cool morning here in the Chicago-land area.
I know there are a lot of people who won’t go walking around the store to find one free item. But that is why you should follow me. I’ll do searching and hunting for you.
- Organic Coconut Water is in the Produce department. I think is a new product and was not even on the shelf, I had to ask the store associate and he was kind enough to check in the back room for it.
- Fiber One bars are in the cereal aisle with the other bars.
- Yogurt is in the dairy on an end cap.
So the numbers don’t add up this week. Today was another one of those day when an item would not ring up correctly. For some reason the Fiber One bars would not calculate as free. Since there was no-one in line the cashier and I ended up trying several different flavors to see if that would make a difference, it didn’t.
In this case the cashier ends up just chasing the price but, then the registers calculate the tax for the items. So for what its worth, I’d just thought I’d share that with you. The number above is the “Total Savings” that appears a the bottom of my receipt.
