I recently purchased a (Professional Grade Lavalier Lapel Microphone Omnidirectional Mic with Easy Clip On System Perfect for Recording Youtube / Interview / Video Conference / Podcast / Voice Dictation / iPhone/ASMR) to use with my iPhone. One of the marketing tactics offered by DeWise was the free digital download of the book How to Vlog Like a Pro.
Unfortunately, I have no idea who wrote this book. But I was NOT expecting a 187 page book. Most of the time when you get freebies, they are short fluffy informational marketing material. NOT true in this case., How to VLOG Like a Pro was packed with all kinds of tips, suggestions and information about creating video.
Aside from actual creating videos, what I found most interesting was the chapter where the author talks about taking an improv class and an assignment they were given.
This intrigued me as I remember taking an improv class in college and loved it. In fact I had forgotten about how much I enjoyed this class, reading about improv in this book was a delight and prompted me to write this article.
As an amateur video creator I found a lot of the information excessive and over my head. Becoming an expert video, editor and producer are whole different careers that people enter. I read this and only got a few things for my immediate use but, could understand quickly how valuable this would be for someone entering the field of video creation.
Kudo’s to PowerDeWise for the bonus digital book.
I’ve always been frustrated with the audio when I do videos, so I finally purchased an external microphone to practice getting the sound right.
Today’s message to myself, you purchased this in August of 2020, during the social distancing and staying at home time during the summer. I
Thanks
