Jewel-Osco Saturday Morning Sampler Savings Report – July 2018 #7

July 2018 Monthly Report
July 2018 Monthly Report

Hello Everyone,

Dave Gates reporting in for my seventh Jewel-Osco Saturday Morning Sampler Savings Report of 2018. More than half way through the year. and more than half way through the month and I’m just gettin this out. OMG! super busy summer.

I though it would be interesting to report how much I’ve saved by redeeming the coupons for free items at our local grocery store.

We live in the Chicago-Land area and one of the major groceries stores is Jewel-Osco. Last year I signed up for MyMixx rewards and downloaded their smart phone app.

A lot of blogs publish income reports on how much their blogs are earning. I’ve decided to take this concept and turn it around a bit.

Instead of reporting on how much my blog is making, I plan to report how much I’m saving by redeeming coupons for free items. It’s kinda fun to track how this adds up.

BLOG UPDATES

Slow and declining traffic for the summer. I’ve been super busy building the tree house. I’m must getting around to this monthly report and it’s already the middle of the month.

Decent list of items from the Jewel-Osco. $21.91 worth of stuff. Not bad. Thanks Jewel.

I’m still loving the themes from Studiopress. I highly recommend them. I’m currently using the Lifestyle Pro Theme.

I’ve been working on the monthly report you are reading here.

We are taking a break from our Coin Roll Hunting and What I’m Reading Series of articles. Coin Roll Hunting is more of a winter inside activity, and now that we are having better weather in Chicago-Land, it is time to start working outside.

Yes, I’m still happy with Bluehost and their services. If you are in the market for starting your own blog, I highly recommend you click on his link and check it out. Thank you.

Time to start working outside. Yeah!!! I’m slowing making progress on the Tree-House plans and construction. For more on that project head over the first article Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Tree House Project Part One The idea The Plan.

I’m moving right along with the tree house. The next phase is designing and building the roof. I’ll need rafters, sub-roof, and shingles for this part of the project.

LESSONS LEARNED

This past week our local Jewel had an customer appreciate day and was giving away free watermelons and corn. Cool! Thanks Jewel-Osco.

MOVING FORWARD

WOW! almost half way through the year already, hard to believe. The plan is to continue visiting my local Jewel-Osco on Saturday morning’s for their Free items. I’m a sucker for anything free.

I’ll be working on the Tree-House Project for foreseeable future.
