Link to the Show: 007 – How Breakfast Food Motivated Financial Freedom with Mr. and Mrs. Waffles on Wednesday.
I started listening to the Bigger Pockets Money Podcast towards the beginning of 2020. I listened to this episode again on Friday June 26, 2020 and wrote up my notes.
The focus of creating this article is to track my thoughts and reviews of each episode. My memory sucks so having a place on this blog to keep my notes was perfect.
Highlights
I like to listen to the full episode and then write what sticks out for me. There is always a lot of useful information and discussion that occurs during the show, but the following bullet points are what sticks out for me.
- Having waffles on a Sunday. Then even during the middle of the week. Waffles on Wednesday.
- Jim Collins blog.
- Becoming Financial Independent.
- You can save to zero, but creating a business and your income up to infinite.
- Rides bike to work.
- No set date or dollar amount provided.

Question: What is your favorite finance book:
Answer: The Simple Path to Wealth by Jim Collins
Question: What is the biggest mistake money/finance?
Answer: Spending too much at bars. Monthly subscriptions. Should have started maxing accounts earlier.
Question: What is your best piece of advise just starting out?
Answer: Embrace your mistakes, start today and move forward. When you’re in a hole, stop digging. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the next best today is today.
Question: What is your favorite joke to tell at parties?
Answer: Rather than asking a person what they do, Mrs. Wow ask the person what they are passion about. A mushroom walks into a bar and the bar tenders say hey we don’t server your kind. Why not I’m I’m a fungi!
Review
The two seem to want to remain anonymous. You never get to know their names. In today’s world, it’s kind of a turn off.
The two of them seem really laid back and casual. They are focus on the accounting, and expenses for the business vs personal spending. They love to travel, so Mrs WoW volunteers and writes off the travel as a business expense. Used credit cards and rewards for business etc.
